Welcome back after Easter!
We had a wonderful surprise from the Easter Bunny (PTA) this morning, the children saw their new climbing frame in our middle outdoor area. They have spent all day climbing up to the top of the pyramid frame and then sliding down! Photos will follow on our gallery soon. We have made the most of the good weather today and have spent all day outdoors. This is a very short half term and we are looking forward to using our outdoor space as much as possible. The holistic plans are attached to the webpage.
If anyone has a spare hour or two that they would like to help support in class, please let your child's teacher know. You will need a valid Cheshire East DBS.
Kind regards, Mrs Brammar, Mrs WIlson, Mrs Carrington & Miss Bird.
It's been a very busy term for Reception. We have had our first Class Visit, to Pizza Express, celebrated World Book Day and we have been working hard in the classroom. The wonderful PTA have bought us a brand new climbing frame to go in our outdoor provision area. This will be constructed over the Easter holidays, so keep watching for a sneak peak of it here.
Hopefully when we return after the Easter holidays we will be spending more time outide making the most of our wonderful outside area (situated in the enclosed space that you can see when you enter school from the main entrance).
Enjoy your holidays!
We trust you all had a wonderful break and are ready for this exciting term ahead? Our new topic is 'Into The Woods'. Our Curriculum page is attached to our webpage. The children were brilliant today and had a super attitude towards their work.
Welcome to Vernon Primary School and your first term in Reception.
We are delighted to be starting the term with the 'Once Upon A Time' topic, where we shall be reading many traditional tales, using drama and lots of speaking and listening.
One of our main focuses this term is to support both children and families with starting school. We learn new routines, learn to care for our environment and meet new friends. We want the children to be happy coming into school and ready to learn.
We shall be updating you with a curriculum letter and more important information as the term starts.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
